Short description
Three high school seniors throw a party to make a name for themselves. As the night progresses, things spiral out of control as word of the party spreads.

What's left behind the scenes

  • Filming for 'Project X' took place over 25 nights from 5 PM to 5 AM at the Warner Bros. Ranch in Burbank, California, where suburban house sets were located. By the end of the film, almost all of them were destroyed.
  • The film became the most downloaded from torrent trackers in 2012.
  • "Project X" was the working title of the film, but it leaked online and sparked a wave of rumors, ultimately leading the producers to keep the name.
  • Many of the characters' names coincide with the names of the actors playing those roles.
  • The film's plot is based on a real event that gained worldwide notoriety. It took place in Melbourne in 2008. Then, a 16-year-old teenager, Corey Worthington, threw a party while his parents were away, which attracted 500 people. The teenager sent out invitations using a social media page. The evening ended in mass riots, the arrival of police with dogs, and even the deployment of a military helicopter.
