What's left behind the scenes
- The library exterior was filmed on Museum Island in Berlin. The Bode Museum, home to the Sculpture Collection, the Museum of Byzantine Art, and the Coin Cabinet, was used as the location.
- During filming, Karen Gillan, Lena Headey, Angela Bassett, Carla Gugino, and Michelle Yeoh became very close friends. According to Gillan, after filming fight scenes one day, they met at the hotel bar and drank so much that they practically crawled to their rooms.
- The characters played by Angela Bassett, Michelle Yeoh, and Carla Gugino wear blue, green, and red, which may be a reference to the fairy godmothers in Sleeping Beauty.
