Short description
Das Experiment is a shocking psycho thriller about the potential for brutality that humans hide. Even more shocking is the fact that it’s based on an actual occurrence — a 1971 psychological experiment at Stanford University that was aborted prematurely when the experimenters lost control.
What's left behind the scenes
- The film was shot in chronological order.
- Oliver Stokowski suffers from claustrophobia. In one of the early scenes of the film, showing prisoners being crammed into an elevator cabin, you can read the anxiety he experiences on his face.
- Cristian Berkel initially auditioned for the role of prisoner No. 82, which ultimately went to Oliver Stokowski. He ended up playing prisoner No. 38.
