Short description
After depleting Earth's resources for centuries, humankind's survival requires an exodus to outer space. An international expedition is quickly formed to find a suitable new planet, but when plans go awry, the crew is suddenly stranded without power on a strange planet, where something unimaginable lies in wait.
What's left behind the scenes
- A number of scenes from the film were shot in real caves. The natural scenes on another planet were filmed in the Charyn Canyon in Kazakhstan (195 km east of Almaty, near the border with China).
- Scenes in the main character's house were filmed in Moscow at the Apothecary Garden (a branch of the Moscow State University Botanical Garden).
- Yegor Koreshkov performed the stunts himself, refusing a stunt double.
- A model of the spacecraft with an autonomous landing module was built for the film. The large-scale set of the spacecraft and landing module interiors, erected in a pavilion, fully corresponds to the ship's model in terms of internal structure and linear dimensions.
