What's left behind the scenes
- Filming took place in Russia’s largest soundstage near Saint Petersburg (its area is over 7,000 square meters). Separate sets and conditional objects of green or blue color were built here, which were subsequently created using computer graphics.
- At the 28th minute, after the Tsar awakens, a sunrise is shown, but the sun rises in the opposite direction. It is a sunset, 'rewound' backwards.
