Short description
It's a major double-cross when former police officer Brian O'Conner teams up with his ex-con buddy Roman Pearce to transport a shipment of "dirty" money for shady Miami-based import-export dealer Carter Verone. But the guys are actually working with undercover agent Monica Fuentes to bring Verone down.

What's left behind the scenes

  • It wasn't until after filming had begun that it became clear Devon Aoki had neither a license nor any driving experience.
  • Filming of the movie began on September 9, 2002, in Miami.
  • The main star of the first "Fast & Furious" film, Vin Diesel, dropped out of the project after requesting a very large fee (over $20 million). Accordingly, due to Diesel's absence, director Rob Cohen refused to direct the sequel.
  • A scene was cut from the film showing Brian moving from Los Angeles to Miami. This scene showed O'Connor buying a Nissan Skyline GT-R, which he uses in the film's first race.
  • After filming the movie, Paul Walker received a Nissan Skyline GT-R as a gift, which was featured at the beginning of the film.
  • From the first 'Fast & Furious' movie, Brian's former boss – Agent Bilkins (Tom Barry) – also carried over to the new film.
  • The racer Suki's name is originally Suki, which can be translated from Japanese as 'love'.
