- The film’s release was originally planned for 2021, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the date had to be postponed to 2022.
- Emma Thompson was invited to voice one of the roles, and initially agreed to participate, but soon changed her mind after learning that John Lasseter was one of the film's producers.
