Short description
Hunter, a newly pregnant housewife, finds herself increasingly compelled to consume dangerous objects. As her husband and his family tighten their control over her life, she must confront the dark secret behind her new obsession.
What's left behind the scenes
- It was announced in September 2016 that Carlo Mirabella-Davis would be directing a film based on his own screenplay. The author based it on his grandmother's obsessive-compulsive disorder, or OCD, and wrote a script about a pregnant housewife who develops an irresistible urge to swallow all sorts of inedible objects. His grandmother's OCD manifested as a desire to hand wash, but Mirabella-Davis decided that this syndrome wasn't very cinematic and changed it.
- The film was shot in a glass house in Highland, New York, near the Hudson River, and on a nearby farm. The director and screenwriter Carlo Mirabella-Davis chose this house for filming because of its "Hitchcockian atmosphere."
