In France, Radar Film was sued for approximately 100,000 euros for the destruction of pink flamingo eggs during filming in the southeast of the country. In early June 2018, filmmakers ordered the pilots of two light aircraft to fly at an extremely low altitude over a flamingo nesting ground, numbering around 8,000 birds, which were incubating eggs at that moment. The aircraft's flight frightened the birds, causing them to fly away, destroying nests and abandoning eggs. About 520 eggs were destroyed, or almost 11.5% of the expected offspring of the rare birds, which are under state protection.
