What's left behind the scenes

  • In one scene, the characters drink Spanish liqueur Orujo, supposedly infused with 18 varieties of different herbs. In reality, traditional Orujo is a 40% grape brandy, but there is also a 30% herbal variety called Orujo "Paso Mayor" flavored with herbs such as angelica and rosemary.
  • The Way of St. James, El Camino de Santiago (Spanish: El Camino de Santiago) is a famous pilgrimage route to the tomb of the Apostle James in the Spanish city of Santiago de Compostela, the main part of which runs through Northern Spain. Due to its popularity and branching nature, this route had a great influence on the spread of cultural achievements in the Middle Ages. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Since the early 1980s, the route's popularity has steadily increased; in 1978, only 13 people traveled it, while in 2009, more than 145,000 did.
  • At the end of their journey, the heroes head to the coast in the town of Muxia to the shrine "Santuario da Virxe da Barca." This is another approximately 70 km from Santiago de Compostela, where the Way of St. James ends.
