What's left behind the scenes
- The poster for Sandy Lyle's (Philip Seymour Hoffman) only film was entirely copied from the poster for John Hughes’s “The Breakfast Club” (1985).
- The ferret Ben Stiller had to film with once actually bit him on the chin.
- Filming for the movie was completed back in February 2003, but the premiere was postponed several times as the filmmakers had to reshoot several scenes.
