What's left behind the scenes

  • In the United Kingdom, the film was released directly to video.
  • In this film, Adam Carolla worked as a stunt double for the first time.
  • Alan Silvestri's initial soundtrack version was rejected. It was entirely electronic, and the composer was asked to enhance the music by adding an orchestra. As a result, Silvestri rewrote the entire soundtrack from scratch.
  • The music playing during the chase scene, immediately after the heroes jump out of the van, is very similar to the music from the film “Predator” (1987). Alan Silvestri was the composer for both films.
  • Eric Schrody, former vocalist of the Irish hip-hop project House of Pain, appears in the scene on the rooftop. He is wearing a ring with a shamrock symbol.
  • Emilio Estevez was far from the first actor considered for the role of Frank. Time was running out, and the studio urgently needed an actor for the lead role, resulting in Estevez receiving a much higher salary than expected. Among the actors who also auditioned for the role were Tom Cruise and Christian Slater.
  • The phrase “Lucy, I’m home, you’re going to have to explain a few things” is a reference to the comedy-action film “Stakeout” (1987), which also starred Emilio Estevez.
  • The sound of the punches during the boxing match on television is too unrealistic and sounds much louder than everything else.
  • When Fallon tells Teddy “All you had to do was keep trading. What’s the problem?”, his lip movements don’t match the words he’s saying.
  • At the beginning of the film, extras appear out of nowhere to the left of the red car.
  • Ray closes the vodka bottle twice when he is calling 911.
  • After Teddy is hit, Ray leans over to start the van, but he didn't turn it off in the previous scene.
  • When Frank's ID is shown, his street is listed as Deadwood Place. Later, when Fallon says he knows where Frank lives, he pronounces the street name as Deadwood Drive.
  • The satellite dish on the roof of the van disappears as soon as the television is turned off.
  • In the sewers, one of Frank's group kicks a grate leading to a lower level. In the next shot, as they descend through the pipe, the grate is nowhere to be seen.
  • When Frank finds the dead police officer, the reflection of the operator and another crew member is visible in the window.
  • As Frank carefully steps over Fallon’s fallen body, Fallon turns his gaze to follow the camera, even though he should be dead.
