What's left behind the scenes

  • Filming began on October 25, 1999.

  • During the filming of the scene where Max Kerkerian fights with skinheads, Vincent Cassel suffered a nose injury.
  • The corpse in the morgue was a prop, made of rubber to resemble the coach who worked with Nadia Fares.
  • Vincent Cassel was very angry about the constant changes being made to the script during filming, and even stated that he had stopped understanding the film's plot. This began his rift with director and screenwriter Mathieu Kassovitz, which ultimately led to a complete breakdown of all relationships – both professional and personal.
