Kay and Jay reunite to provide our best, last and only line of defense against a sinister seductress who levels the toughest challenge yet to the MIB's untarnished mission statement – protecting Earth from the scum of the universe. It's been four years since the alien-seeking agents averted an intergalactic disaster of epic proportions. Now it's a race against the clock as Jay must convince Kay – who not only has absolutely no memory of his time spent with the MIB, but is also the only living person left with the expertise to save the galaxy – to reunite with the MIB before the earth submits to ultimate destruction.
What's left behind the scenes
- Famke Janssen was supposed to play Serling and even filmed several episodes, but a family tragedy forced her to leave the project.
- Will Smith's sons and Tommy Lee Jones's daughter appeared in cameo roles, along with stars such as Shaquille O'Neal, Tiger Woods, Venus Williams, and even Michael Jackson.
- Barry Sonnenfeld's daughter played the girl at the post office.
- Filming began in June 2001 in New York and was completed in October of the same year.
- The final scene of the film originally featured the World Trade Center buildings, but after the tragic events of September 11, 2001, their image was replaced with an image of the Chrysler Building.
- The film is based on a comic book series by Lowell Cunningham, which was published from 1990 to 1991 by Marvel under its Aircel Comics and Malibu Comics imprints.
