• The plot is based on the story of the real robbery of the "Rio de Acassuso" bank in Buenos Aires on January 13, 2006.
• In reality, when police special forces stormed the bank building, seven robbers watched the events unfold on a television screen during a live broadcast from the scene. At that moment, they were counting their loot and eating pizza. Or, at least, they believed they were watching a live broadcast. Television crews were broadcasting with a 30-minute delay, as everyone assumed the criminals were still inside the building and did not want to spook them prematurely. The leaders of the police operation hoped to mislead the robbers in this way.
• In reality, the shares the robbers divided the “loot” into were not equal. Those who joined the robbers last received less, but this was agreed upon beforehand, so no one voiced any complaints.
