What's left behind the scenes

Director and cinematographer Michael Fimognari shot the romantic comedy “To All the Boys: Always and Forever” (2021) simultaneously with the previous film in the franchise, the romantic comedy “To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You” (2020).
At one point, Lana Condor's character mentions the film “Intuition” (Peter Chelsom, 2001), in which John Corbett played Lars Hammond. Here, Corbett plays Lara's father.
Unlike the film, in the original book Lara Jean and Peter (played by Lana Condor and Noah Centineo, respectively) do not engage in a romantic relationship. The author of the novel and screenwriter Jenny Han was pleased with this change in the film's plot.
