- Director and cinematographer Michael Fimognari shot the romantic comedy “To All the Boys: Always and Forever” (2021) simultaneously with the previous film in the franchise, the romantic comedy “To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You” (2020).
- At one point, Lana Condor's character mentions the film “Intuition” (Peter Chelsom, 2001), in which John Corbett played Lars Hammond. Here, Corbett plays Lara's father.
- Unlike the film, in the original book Lara Jean and Peter (played by Lana Condor and Noah Centineo, respectively) do not engage in a romantic relationship. The author of the novel and screenwriter Jenny Han was pleased with this change in the film's plot.
