Short description
An immigrant worker at a pickle factory is accidentally preserved for 100 years and wakes up in modern day Brooklyn. He learns his only surviving relative is his great grandson, a computer coder who he can’t connect with.
What's left behind the scenes
- Seth Rogen, who played Herschel Greenbaum, decided that prosthetic beards looked unnatural and insisted on growing his own mustache and beard. This led to some problems, as the sets for scenes featuring both characters had to be temporarily removed, and all of Herschel’s scenes were filmed first, followed by all of Ben’s scenes after the actor shaved.
