The film is dedicated to the memory of Terry Jones (1942-2020), one of the founders of the British comedy group Monty Python. Jones appeared in two films by Albert Dupontel – as God in 'The Mad Creator' (1999) and as a homeless man in 'Locked Out' (2006). Terry Gilliam (the hunter in the advertisement), another former member of Monty Python, also appears in this film. Dupontel admitted that Monty Python often serves as a source of inspiration for him.
