What's left behind the scenes

  • The snouts of the predatory Deinonychus lizards from the first film were replaced with the snouts of Velociraptors, characterized by a more elongated neck and jaw structure. The dinosaur costumes remained the same.
  • The film used the same sixteen-foot Tyrannosaurus model as the first movie. In the first film, the robot frequently broke down and scenes featuring it were limited to just a few seconds. In the second part, the mechanics partially managed to fix the malfunctions. However, this was not enough to film its fight with the forklift. Therefore, in the scene where the Tyrannosaurus attacks the forklift, it was decided to use miniature mock-ups.
  • David Barrett, who did the special effects in the first film, was responsible for the special effects.
  • The final scene of the T-Rex battle with the forklift was taken from the first film.
  • The roar of the T-Rex and the screams of the velociraptors were taken from 'Jurassic Park' (1993).
  • The last film by John Davis Chandler.
  • When Ed tells Jesse under no circumstances to raise the lever that opens the mine gates, the lever had already been raised. After Ed demonstrates raising the gates, he lowers the lever down.
