- Jack Nowell, who played Randy, and Cathy Wright, who played Tanya, did not know they were related (through one of their biological parents) until they met on set.
- The same hand appears in Barry Sonnenfeld's black comedy *The Addams Family* (1991). This refers to Thing, played by Christopher Hart.
