Short description
What do you dream of when you're 16-years-old and in a seaside resort in Normandy in the 1980s? A best friend? A lifelong teen pact? Scooting off on adventures on a boat or a motorbike? What's left behind the scenes
- The film was initially going to be titled "Summer 84", but Robert Smith, the vocalist of The Cure, refused to allow director and screenwriter François Ozon to use his song “In Between Days” in the film because it was released only in 1985. Ozon resolved the issue with Smith by promising to rename the film "Summer 1985", and he kept his promise.
