What's left behind the scenes
- The filmmakers had to prove to the FCC that a person with the last name Focker (English: Focker) actually exists before the film was allowed to be released.
- Burns' RV horn plays the tune "Puff the Magic Dragon," which Greg and Jack discussed in "Meet the Parents".
- Teri Polo (Pam) accidentally called Barbra Streisand "Boob" (slang for female breast), and the nickname stuck with the actress on set.
- Alanna Ubach, who plays Isabella, Greg's nanny, is actually ten years younger than Ben Stiller.
- The flight attendant who takes Greg's suitcase to the overhead compartment at the beginning of the film is the same one who had him removed from the plane at the end of "Meet the Parents".
- In the scene where Greg and his father speed after Jack, the license plate of Bernard's car reads "TMI". This is a subtle reference to Bernard's character's tendency to overshare and provide excessive personal details. TMI is a literary abbreviation for "too much information".
