A photojournalist's obsessive quest for the truth about the first expedition to Mt. Everest leads him to search for an esteemed climber who went missing.

In the bar scene, in the background, you can notice two patrons who clearly resemble Isao Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki (these are well-known directors).
Before animating the climbing scenes, director Patrick Imbert consulted with alpinists who had already conquered Everest.
Before he was approached with an offer to direct this project, Patrick Imbert knew nothing at all about the history that formed the basis of the screenplay.
