What's left behind the scenes

  • Jensen Ackles auditioned for the role of Leon Kennedy, but Johan Urb ultimately landed the part.
  • Ariana Engineer was cast as Becky without an audition.
  • Several times during the final battle, bone fractures are shown in an X-ray vision style. The same technique is used in the 2011 Mortal Kombat game. Paul W.S. Anderson directed the film 'Mortal Kombat' (1995).
  • In the final showdown, Michelle Rodriguez's character injects herself with the Las Plagas parasite, which first appeared in the fourth installment of the video game of the same name in 2005.
  • During the filming of the chase scene in Moscow, the license plates on the Rolls-Royce Phantom were "H520SL177RUS".
  • When Alice jumps from the exploding ship at the 2-minute mark of the film, many flying debris can be seen near her. However, when Alice falls into the ocean, there are no falling fragments or waves and bubbles from their fall in the water near her.

  • At the 12th minute of the film, when Rain leans out of his car window and picks up Alice and her daughter from the street, she is not wearing a seatbelt. When a zombie tries to grab Alice and her daughter in the next scene, Rain is already buckled up.
  • At the 14th minute of the film, a zombie pushes its tentacles through the door of a closet, but when Alice jumps out, the zombie disappears for a second.
  • At the 20th minute of the film, Alice breaks the window of a police car and retrieves a Desert Eagle pistol from the glove compartment. This pistol has never been in service with the Japanese police.
  • At the 22nd minute of the film, Alice is chased by a crowd of zombies. When she runs inside the building, only one female zombie is running after her.
