- The full title of the film can be translated as "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan." (The original Russian text provides a much longer, more literal, and somewhat unwieldy translation.)
- Sacha Baron Cohen spent almost five hours in the restroom of the venue where the Conservative Political Action Conference was held in 2020, until former US Vice President Mike Pence took to the stage.
- Sacha Baron Cohen spent five days with conservative politicians Jerry Holleman and Jim Russell, remaining in character as Borat the entire time.
- Professional caregiver Janice Jones was paid $3,600 for her participation in the filming, but she – like many others – believed it would be a genuine documentary. Jones did not realize that Sacha Baron Cohen and Maria Bakalova were playing fictional characters. She later praised Bakalova's performance and admitted that she had been fooled.
- Scenes in the Kazakh settlement were filmed in Romania, but not in the same location as the previous film (due to the negative reaction of the local population to the earlier movie). Actors of Romanian origin were specifically hired for some roles for this purpose.
- The full title of the film can be translated as "Borat: A Gift of a Pornographic Monkey to Vice President Michael Pence in the Name of the Recently Humiliated People of Kazakhstan."
