What's left behind the scenes
- Director and screenwriter Neil Marshall once spoke about the difficulties of filming in Budapest. Recreating Afghan and Russian bunkers proved to be a challenging task. One scene took place in an elevator, but it was impossible to film it in an actual elevator, so they had to find a workaround. Furthermore, it turned out to be very difficult to find US Army vehicles in Budapest. The HUMVEE had to be searched for throughout Europe. It was found with a private collector in Romania and brought to the set.
