  • The reservoir is called Jangjin in Korean, but the name with the Japanese transcription has become established in Russian.
  • Two months after its wide release, the film became the highest-grossing Chinese film and the highest-grossing non-English language film.
  • Filming took place from October 25, 2020, to May 25, 2021.
  • Approximately 70,000 soldiers from the People's Liberation Army of China were involved in the filming.
  • Most of the film was shot in Zhejiang province: at the Meishan railway station in Huzhou and around the Lishimen Reservoir.
  • Initially, Andrew Lau was appointed as one of the directors, but he was later replaced by Dante Lam.
