Initially, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga wanted to cast Sara Ali Khan for one of the roles. The actress even came for an audition. However, Vanga eventually abandoned this idea, believing that Khan would not be able to convincingly play the character and accurately portray her nature, so the role went to Tripti Dimri.
It took Sandeep Reddy Vanga four months to edit the film.
The car with a machine gun was actually built for the film. It took four months to assemble the half-ton, three-wheeled steel vehicle with a multi-barreled machine gun.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga spent 2.5 years creating the film. He moved from Hyderabad to Mumbai. During the work on the film, he left the set for lunch only once.
The scene in which Ranbir Kapoor and his bodyguards cross the street was inspired by the famous cover of the Beatles’ Abbey Road album (1969).
According to Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the slaughter scene that ends the credits was added at the suggestion of Ranbir Kapoor. This allowed the filmmakers to leave themselves the possibility of shooting a sequel.
