What's left behind the scenes
- It took four nights to film the dance on Regent Street in London, and it took a year and a half to obtain permission to film. The filming location is owned by the royal family, and Elizabeth II passed away two days before the planned start of filming. The dance was only filmed five months later.
- The film is based on recordings of numerous interviews that Michael Gracey took with Robbie Williams in Williams' recording studio in Los Angeles over a year and a half. A significant portion of the text that Williams reads in the film is taken from these interviews.
- The film's poster is a reference to the cover of Robbie Williams' first solo album, 'Life thru a Lens' from 1997.
