Julie Delpy herself wrote the song she performs in the film. In 2003, she released a musical album, three songs from which were included in the film's soundtrack: A Waltz For A Night, An Ocean Apart, and Je t’aime tant.
Julie Delpy’s parents, Marie Piéye and Albert Delpy, appeared in the film in cameo roles. Additionally, real childhood photographs of Delpy can be seen on the wall in Céline’s apartment at the end of the film.
