Short description
Inspired by a true story, an oddball group of cops, criminals, tourists and teens converge in a Georgia forest where a 500-pound black bear goes on a murderous rampage after unintentionally ingesting cocaine.
What's left behind the scenes
- The film is inspired by real events from 1985, when drug courier Andrew Thornton, a former law enforcement officer, dropped several packages of cocaine from an airplane over the forests of Georgia. He then jumped from the plane with a parachute with 30 kg of drugs taped to his body. The parachute failed to open, and Thornton died. A bear discovered the packages, ate part of them worth $20 million, and died from an overdose.
