What's left behind the scenes
- There were repeated delays during pre-production, so Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi was initially cast as Anne, but Léa Drucker ended up playing the role, while Théodore was played by Samuel Kircher, whom director Katrin Breya was initially suggested to cast by his older brother, Paul Kircher, who had been considered for the role.
