• Matthew Duckett plays Clifford Chatterley. He was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at one time, which affected his gait. In scenes before Clifford's injury, filming was organized and shot from angles to make this defect unnoticeable.
• According to Jack O'Connell (who played Oliver), he and Emma Corrin (Connie) rehearsed the erotic scenes in an abandoned church. When it came to the actual filming, they adhered strictly to the script. As for the dance scenes, improvisation was sometimes required on camera.
