What's left behind the scenes

  • The role of Nigel Powers was to be offered to Sir Sean Connery, the first performer of the role of agent 007 James Bond.
  • Heather Graham reappeared on screen as Felicia Trahvell, but the scene with her participation was cut from the final version of the film.
  • In this film, Dr. Evil, played by Mike Myers, has blue eyes (the actor wore contact lenses). In all previous films, the character's eyes are brown, like the actor's own.
  • The computer in Dr. Evil’s lair is assembled from parts and components of a system created in 1954 for the purpose of managing the United States’ response to an attack by the Soviet Union. This system occupied an entire floor in a fortified top-secret bunker. Over time, the system became obsolete. It was removed from active duty and sold in parts to television companies and studios for the production of science fiction films. The parts and components of the system used in this film had already appeared in the series “The Time Tunnel” (1966-1967) and the films “Skyjack” (John Guillermin, 1974), “Independence Day” (Roland Emmerich, 1996), “Blow Out” (Brian De Palma, 1981), and many others.
  • The motorcycle at the beginning of the film is a tuned BMW R1200C.
  • The small vehicles involved in the pursuit are Sparrows (single-seat, three-wheeled electric vehicles for urban transportation manufactured by Corbin Motors).
  • Foxy's weapon is a short-barreled Smith & Wesson Model 66.
  • In each new Austin Powers film, Mike Myers plays one more character than in the preceding one. He played two characters (Austin and Dr. Evil) in "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery" (Jay Roach, 1997), three (the first two and Fat Bastard) in "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me" (Jay Roach, 1999), and four (the same plus Goldmember) in this film.
  • Michael McDonald appears in a small role in each film in the series. He played the security guard crushed by the roller in the first film, the radar operator in the second, and the guard near the Queen in the third.
