• At one point, Ari Aster was the director of the film, and Adam Sandler was set to play the lead role. After Kristoffer Borgli’s “Sick of Myself” (2022) received critical and audience acclaim, the film’s production, based on his own screenplay, passed to him, and Borgli replaced Sandler with Nicolas Cage.
