Short description
A mother and daughter move to a new town and find themselves living next door to a house where a young girl murdered her parents. When the daughter befriends the surviving son, she learns the story is far from over.
What's left behind the scenes
- The project was initially announced in 2003 with Jonathan Mostow as director and Richard Kelly as screenwriter.
- The film was shot using the 'Technoscope' system to make the image grainy, reminiscent of old horror films, and to save money on film processing. Despite this, the end credits state: 'Filmed in Panavision'.
- Eliza's 'phone' is actually an iPod Touch (4th generation).
- When Eliza came to Ryan with the disc, he turned off his laptop when he saw her at the door, but when she entered and approached the laptop, she saw 'her page' on it.
