Short description
Flight 7500 departs Los Angeles International Airport bound for Tokyo. As the overnight flight makes its way over the Pacific Ocean during its ten-hour course, the passengers encounter what appears to be a supernatural force in the cabin.

What's left behind the scenes

  • 7500 is an aviation code used in the event of a hijacking.
  • The film was originally scheduled for release on August 31, 2012, but the premiere was delayed due to funding problems at the studio.
  • Most modern aircraft, especially on intercontinental routes, have crew rest areas, which are also very convenient for accommodating a deceased passenger during a flight. This doesn't require clearing out an entire class.
  • In the film, when the pressure dropped on board the aircraft, water bottles in the characters' hands began to compress; in reality, they would have expanded.
  • At the end of the film, a newsreader on television states that the plane will crash into the Pacific Ocean when it runs out of fuel. In reality, an aircraft flying from Los Angeles to Tokyo is fueled with enough fuel to reach China or Russia.
