What's left behind the scenes
- Development of the project began in 2019, but was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Jean-Louis Trintignant recorded his role as narrator shortly before his death in June 2022.
- Initially, Gérard Depardieu was planned to voice the lumberjack. Against the backdrop of accusations of rape and sexual harassment, with the mutual consent of the actor and producers, he withdrew from the project and was subsequently replaced by Grégory Gadebois.
