Short description
Good-hearted teenager William always lived in hope of following in his late father’s footsteps and becoming a storm chaser. His father’s legacy has now been turned into a storm-chasing tourist business, managed by the greedy and reckless Zane Rogers, who is now using William as the main attraction to lead a group of unsuspecting adventurers deep into the eye of the most dangerous supercell ever seen.
What's left behind the scenes
- The film features genuine tornadoes. It is claimed that director and screenwriter Herbert James Winterstern chased tornadoes for four years. Among other things, he used recordings of tornadoes made by Hank Schima, a well-known storm chaser from Houston. The clouds shown at the beginning of the film were also filmed by Winterstern.
- When William (played by Daniel Dimmer) tries to find information about his father online, he begins typing the name “Bill” into the search bar. The first search result displayed on the screen is the name of actor Bill Paxton, who starred in Jan de Bont’s adventure thriller “Twister” (1996).
