Short description
Six years after the events of The X-Files series finale, former FBI agent Doctor Dana Scully is now a staff physician at Our Lady of Sorrows, a Catholic hospital, and treating a boy named Christian who has Sandhoff disease, a terminal brain condition. FBI agent Drummy arrives to ask Scully’s help in locating Fox Mulder, the fugitive former head of the X-Files division, and says they will call off its manhunt for him if he will help investigate the disappearances of several women, including young FBI agent Monica Banan. Mulder and Scully are called back to duty by the FBI when a former priest claims to be receiving psychic visions pertaining to a kidnapped agent.

What's left behind the scenes

  • For a long time, work on the film was carried out under the working title "The X-Files: First Ready".
  • Mulder's notepad on his phone contains the following contacts: Gilligan is the surname of one of the series creators, Bowman is one of the directors, and Shiban is one of the screenwriters.
  • In one of the scenes in the film, when Agent Scully walks down a hospital corridor, you can see Chris Carter, the creator/director/screenwriter and producer.
  • The female agent who caught Mulder's attention by walking within two steps of him in the FBI office is Vanessa Morley. In the series, she played the role of eight-year-old Samantha Mulder, and her photograph hangs on the door of Mulder's house at the beginning of the film.
  • Due to the secrecy surrounding the film's plot, it was directed by someone named Rich Tracers (Rich Tracers) – an anagram of "Chris Carter". And the characters of David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson were named Larry and Frankie in the script, in honor of Chris Carter's beloved dogs.
  • At the end of the final credits, a boat with Mulder and Scully is shown, relaxing far from everyday life.
  • Due to the secrecy surrounding the film's plot, its director was listed as someone named Rich Tracers – an anagram for "Chris Carter." The characters of David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson were named Larry and Frankie in the script, in honor of Chris Carter's favorite dogs.
