- The finale, which supposedly takes place in Tahiti, was filmed on a beach in one of the coastal towns of California, 50 kilometers south of San Francisco, where the film's action unfolded and where it was shot.
- The horse race scene mentions someone named Russell. This is Russell Baze, the most successful jockey in the history of thoroughbred horse racing, inducted into the Racing Hall of Fame.
- In the opening hostage scene, Roper is shown wearing a v-neck sweater over a t-shirt. After that, the t-shirt sometimes disappears and then reappears.
- Veronika nearly suffocated to death. A week later, she's flaunting a low-cut dress, and there are no marks on her neck.
