Short description
On a flight from Los Angeles to New York, Oliver and Emily make a connection, only to decide that they are poorly suited to be together. Over the next seven years, however, they are reunited time and time again, they go from being acquaintances to close friends to ... lovers?

What's left behind the scenes

  • Initially, the plot did not include an episode where Emily and Oliver stand naked behind a car and Oliver tells Emily that she simply 'glanced' (at his genitals). The glance was made and the phrase uttered completely by chance, and the director decided to include this episode in the film.
  • During the filming of 'Something More' (2005), actress Berdie M. Hale was over 90 years old. In the film, she played a cameo role on the New York subway with a single line ("Would you like to sit with your girlfriend?"). In the 1988 romantic comedy 'Coming to America', Hale played exactly the same role, also on the subway, offering the main characters to sit together.
  • Ashton Kutcher, playing Oliver, tells his sister Ellen (played by actress and singer Taryn Manning) on the phone that he has just met his idol, the rapper Eminem. In the film "8 Mile" (2002), Manning played Eminem's former girlfriend.
