Short description
Gib, a beer-guzzling slob, and Alison, an uptight Ivy-Leaguer, are an unlikely duo stuck together on a cross-country trip during Christmas break. At first they get on each other's nerves but, as time passes, they find their divergent natures complement each other. Now they need to realize what they've already found before it's too late.
What's left behind the scenes
- Anthony Edwards initially auditioned for the role of Walter "Gib" Gibson, and was later cast as Lance.
- Walter Gibson was named after Walter B. Gibson (1897-1985), the author of The Shadow comic book hero, who wrote under the pseudonym “Maxwell Grant” (this pseudonym later became a legacy name used by several writers working on The Shadow stories), and Alison Bradbury – after science fiction writer Ray Bradbury (1920-2012).
