  • The first English-language film by Swedish director Mikael Håfström.
  • The Chicago commuter rail network is operated by Metra. The company paid $30,000 for consulting and the use of trains and stations in the film.
  • The film was released approximately two months after the rail crash of September 17, 2005, when a Metra commuter train derailed. Two people died and 80 were injured. No disaster occurs in the film, but Metra did everything possible to change the film's title. In English, it is "Derailed," which literally translates as "Gone off the rails."
