What's left behind the scenes

  • During filming, Mat Hoffman, Steve-O, Bam Margera, and Johnny Knoxville sustained serious injuries. These included broken wrists, bruises from falls, torn tendons, and even infectious diseases that required prolonged hospital treatment.
  • In one episode, Johnny Knoxville claimed to have been lovers with Lon Chaney (1883-1930; a silent film actor, director, screenwriter, and makeup artist), at a time when Knoxville had no idea who Chaney was. He simply saw Chaney’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and thought it would be funny to claim a connection with him.
  • The shopping cart at the beginning of the film was originally created for filming Joel Schumacher's (1939-2020) science fiction comedy “Shrinking Woman” (1981). Preston Lacy spotted it near the studio, and the cart was taken as a prop.
  • The idea for “night pandas” came from Lumis Foole because he wanted to travel to Japan. The film crew took him with them because no one had the courage to tell him that pandas live not in Japan, but in China.
