• During filming, 23 Cadillac Allanté cars were used, nine of which were completely wrecked.
• The final stunt, where Charlie jumps from a plane in a sports car and has to open the trunk during the fall, pull a girl out, fasten her to his parachute, and complete the jump together, was borrowed from the British television entertainment show You Bet. In the original broadcast shown in the late 1980s, one of the contestants successfully performed the stunt and won a free weekend resort for the whole family.
