An astronaut struggling to maintain his grip on reality aboard a possibly fatally compromised mission to Saturn's moon, Titan.
What's left behind the scenes
- John, played by Casey Affleck, spent over 9 months asleep, and his body's muscles would inevitably have atrophied, preventing him from walking normally immediately after waking up. Scientific research shows that prolonged immobility causes rapid muscle atrophy and, consequently, serious muscle weakness. It would have taken John a long time to regain normal movement, and dizziness and memory lapses would not have been the only side effects.
