Short description
When bachelor Walter Davis is set up with his sister-in-law's pretty cousin, Nadia Gates, a seemingly average blind date turns into a chaotic night on the town. Walter's brother, Ted, tells him not to let Nadia drink alcohol, but he dismisses the warning and her behaviour gets increasingly wild. Walter and Nadia's numerous incidents are made even worse as her former lover David relentlessly follows them around town.

- Walter is Bruce Willis’ middle name.
- The original screenplay was rewritten so much that the screenwriter, Dale Loner, requested that his name not be associated with the film.
- Initially, Andrew Dice Clay was supposed to play the bouncer at the nightclub. He was offered the role three times, each time for an increasingly larger fee, but he consistently refused. In the 1980s, actors considered it career suicide to accept a role in films directed by Blake Edwards (1922-2010). The role of the bouncer was ultimately played by Dick Durock (1937-2009), a known fan of the genre who starred in Wes Craven’s (1939-2015) “Swamp Thing” (1981).
