What's left behind the scenes

  • The word "two" (deux) in the title is French. "Deux" in its pronunciation parodies the English "do." The phrase "Just deux it" (Just do it) on the cover could be translated into Russian as "Just do it."
  • In this film, Richard Crenna played a parody of his own character from the John Rambo film series – Colonel Trautman.
  • "Rambo 3" entered the Guinness Book of Records at the time for the number of people killed on screen. Topper Harley successfully breaks this record.
  • As part of the film's promotion, a story about the filming of the second part, "Hearts of Hot Shots Part Deux: A Filmmaker's Apology," was filmed, whose title played on the title of the documentary "Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse," which tells about the filming of the film "Apocalypse Now."
  • In the episode parodying the film "Apocalypse Now," a boat with Charlie Sheen on board diverges on opposite courses with a boat with Martin Sheen. At that moment, they simultaneously shout to each other: "I liked you in "Wall Street"!" which is a reference to the film in which they starred together. Before this moment, two films are parodied at once. First, Charlie Sheen quotes his own hero from the film "Platoon," then he is interrupted by Martin Sheen with a quote from his hero from the film "Apocalypse Now."
  • To prepare for the role, Charlie Sheen did physical exercises for 8 hours a day because he didn't want his character to be laughed at at the premiere.
